This job took a while. One of the owners children had gone to work on this SG with a set of keys or some other tool. The damage was pretty bad, two scratches in particular being very deep. I had to fill them with clear nitro, flat the back and hope for the best. The two deepest were still visible but turned out ok, the probable. with nitro though, is that it takes a month to cure, so this was not a quick turn around.
The headstock also needed looking at, the lacquer was delaminating. I needed too strip it, make a new logo and refinish it.
The scratch plate was also damaged so I made a new one. After a setup and a lot of time I’m happy with how this one turned out.
