Setup and Bone Nut on Faith Acoustic

This well played faith came in as it was playable. On inspection the truss rod had been tightened as far as it would go, I was concerned it had broken. The strings were also slackened off meaning the neck had gone into a back bow causing the strings to fret out. I loosened the rod (luckily it wasn’t broken) and brought the strings up to tension but there still wasn’t enough relief, even with both on the rod. I suggested some thinker strings might do the trick and I was right.

The nut had worn too low so I replaced it with a bone one.

I also gave this guitar a good clean, this will increase string life and I would argue possibly make it sound it’s best.
