I repaired this guitar last year after it’s second headstock break. Unfortunately the previous repair was done with a kind of glue that prevented the glue I was using from working and it broke again. I was left with no option but to repair the break with splines.
Once restrung could immediately see a crack where the break was but not where the splines are. I can only hope that the splines are enough to hold. Only time will tell.
