Gibson 330

Historic 330 came in with a stiff switch and in need of a setup. The bridge was sitting at an odd angle, and although it played ok was bothering the owner… and me! There was also an odd rattle when playing the D string and sometimes the G. I tried adding a rubber washer to the bottom of the bigsby trem, tightening everything, even putting a small amount of vaseline on the bridge height wheels (which seemed a little loose) to try to absorb any vibrations but to no avail. It’s something in the guitar but I had to admit defeat, and it’s not audible through an amp.

I swapped the switch for a new one, there’s some movement with repairs on switches like this but not this time. Setup with D’Addario 10 – 46.
