This guitar came in for a setup and with the pre amp not working.
There was no power getting to the pre amp even though the battery was new, with some investigation I found one of the contacts wasn’t connecting to the battery, a fairly easy fix once it was diagnosed.
Whilst inspecting the guitar I found the D string tuner wouldn’t tighten up. This was because it had literally snapped in two so we agreed to replace all the tuners with a set of Gotoh SG301.
I removed the shim from the bridge which wasn’t needed and the guitar played great setup with Elixir 12 – 53.
