Here is a well used Yamaha Acoustic that had really warn frets especially around the third and forth. The owner had used Sellotape to get him through some gigs when the guitar first became unplayable and claims it worked really well. I’m not so sure.
Upon further investigation I couldn’t believe hot soft the frets actually were and it explained why they had pitted so much. The frets above the seventh were in ok condition and we decided that we could get away with only removing the problem frets.
I think it turned out well and the customer said it was as good as new. See what you think.
