This well loved Strat came in to be brought back to life. Not only were the frets incredibly worn but the neck also had a twist in it. I gave it a re-fret and was able to level the twist out of the fingerboard. I swapped the scratch plate for one that housed two Humbuckers. I had to route the pickup holes a little larger to fit the EMG HZ’s and adjust the neck pocket where it didn’t quite line up. I was able to recycle the pots but the 5 way switch had Strat style switching on a circuit board in the switch so was unusable for this application so I replaced it with a CRL one.
