Squire CV 70s Stratocaster

Squire Strat came in for a check over as the owner had attempted some repairs or mods and got stuck. To be fair the screws are made off some of the softest metal that I’ve ever come across. Everything was checking out although the trem anchoring screws were a little stripped but then I tried to adjust the trem springs and found the screws weren’t only stripped but very badly bent.

It was quite a task to get them out and then I had to plug the holes and re-drill.

Got the action as low as could but the high E was bottoming out when bending when it was as low as wanted it. Step with supplied Rotosound 11 – 48.
