Solar S1

Baritone guitar is for a setup and some Fishman Fluence pickups installed along with the Rechargeable 9V Battery Pack. Not a straight forward job as this guitar has an Evertune bridge which takes up an awful lot of space, especially underneath the bridge pickup. Here had to re-route the pickup wires so the pickup could sit flat.

The pickups were surface mounted so I needed to carefully drill out the metal grommets on the Fishmans to accommodate some screws without engaging the thread. I had to swap the screws for pickup right screws which are much smaller, this also meant had to plug the existing holes.

The Guitar had a 5 way super switch installed so I decided to use this to give a full range of pickup options. here’s a word to the wise; done;t always trust wiring diagrams from the internet, even if they are from the actual pickup company! In this case there was an error on the drawing which took a little time to figure out.

The rechargeable 9V Battery pack only just fitted on the back of the control plate but there wasn’t room for the battery itself, this needed to be slotted in loose near the switch. This won’t cause and issues with operation.

Setup in G# it feels a little baggy to me, I’d beef to the string up a little, if the tuners will take it that is!
