The owner of this guitar was having issues with the high E popping out of the saddle. I wondered if there could be an issue with the string block but on inspection everything seemed to working as it should. As a precaution I stripped the trem down, cleaned it and re-assembled it.
The under string radius didn’t quite match up to the finger board, and after a little guess work as to which string needed raising up I used a shim to bring the A string up fractionally.
It’s quite fiddly to restring a floating trem and it’s important to check the string is being clamped properly by the block.
