The issue here was there was no output, at first I thought it could be something to do with the output or the battery and that was kind of right. The battery had been placed in the holder wrong do that the terminals were pressing on a piece of plastic causing the pre amp to sit proud. This but pressure on one of the clips that was holding it in place and causing it to break.
I was concerned that gluing this frame would not work but when a replacement unit was not available I gave the glue a go and it seems to have worked well.
I gave the guitar a setup, lowering the action little by taking the top off the saddle and reshaping, usually I take it off the bottom but asa you can see this wasn’t possible here.
