This well played faith came in as it was playable. On inspection the truss rod had been tightened as far as it would go, I was concerned it had broken. The strings were also slackened off meaning the neck had gone into a back bow causing the strings to fret out. I loosened the rod (luckily it wasn’t broken) and brought the strings up to tension but there still wasn’t enough relief, even with both on the rod. I suggested some thinker strings might do the trick and I was right.
The nut had worn too low so I replaced it with a bone one.
I also gave this guitar a good clean, this will increase string life and I would argue possibly make it sound it’s best.
