This Reverend had some dead spots around the 15th and generally wasn’t playing well. The nut was very low and the strings were going backwards over the tailpiece, which I don’t have a problem with but in this case there didn’t look to be enough angle to create enough pressure.
A fret level was in order for sure and I could see how uneven the frets were with a low spot going diagonal across the fret board around the problem area.
I hoped the nut could be saved but it was too on low and too many strings so I replaced it with a hand made bone one.
Setup in D std with supplied D’Addario 11 – 56.
