70’s Musicmaster in to have its Strat pickup swapped for a Mojo four pole one and a setup. The action was super high and the nut was sitting at a funny angle. On inspection it has been glued in with something quite soft, maybe wood glue? Superglue is best for nuts. I cleaned the slot out and seated the nut correctly then sorted the height of the strings.
These types of guitars/basses with bridges that have two strings per saddle are always a compromise when it comes to intonation but this one was spot on apart from the A string. It’ll have to be good enough for rock n’ roll.
