Forgot to take photos at the start of this project but the guitar came in disassembled and I had to do some routing to enlarge the control cavity to accommodate the extra wiring and circuits for the GK. This meant I had to custom make a new scratch plate.
The old Seymour Duncan JB had seen better days and I tried to bring it back, installing a new backplate and wire but one of the coils had shorted out and further repairs were not necessary as the owner had other working pickups to use.
Setup with 9 – 42 strings I’m looking forward to hearing what crazy noises the owner comes up with.
