Pretty straight forward setup on this Martin which came in with an incredibly high action. I could see straight away that the neck had way too much relief.
I usually like to start with a perfectly straight neck without the strings and and rely on the string pressure to give me the required relief. Obviously in some cases the strings aren’t thick enough to pull the neck forward or, as in this case pull it forward too much. Easily sorted though with a little more on the rod.
