This acoustic came in with a very high action. This was due to the neck bending up after the body and a slight bulge where the bridge was. Unfortunately there’s not much I can do about the bulge as it’s down the bracing being inadequate, and in the case the bridge saddle was already quite low (so I couldn’t lower things there). I tightened the truss rod to pull the nut back but this didn’t help as the neck bent back too much causing fret buzz. I managed to split the difference by levelling the frets on the body to lower them, reducing what was effectively a “ramp up” and improved the action, but sometimes there’s only so much you can do. Still, the customer was happy and I would say it was definitely improved.
