Hofner Senator

What an immaculate example of this early 60s guitar. The action was very high and I could see there was a gap between the heel and the body but on inspection it looks like it’s been like that since it was made or soon after. The neck is solid and to remove it to get the correct angle would risk causing too much damage. I managed to take the top of the bridge down and though not perfect it’s an improvement. I mean, this isn’t a shred machine, it’s got loads of personality and (dare I say it) mojo.

Setup with D’Addario 10 – 46.
