There were issues with the frets on this guitar, it doesn’t seem like it’s very old so if it is purely wear from playing then I would say the frets are very soft indeed. They were very uneven and the ends were perturbing, with sharp edges making it uncomfortable to play.
There are many issues with the construction of this instrument, mainly with the fret board (the dots are also sticking up) but I guess they are made to a budget.
I found a random metal thing attached to the back of the neck pickup which was preventing it going lower, must have slipped through QC.
All levelled and re-crowned it now plays well with D’Addario 10 – 46.
