You don’t see many of these guitars and I have a soft spot for a Guild. This one came in for a fret level and to have some work done on the neck pickup to try and brighten it up a bit so it was more balanced with the bridge. I did this by putting a small cap inline with the pickup to act as a high pass filter, I also fitted a matching treble bleed on the volume.
When doing the fret level I found that the neck had become distorted at the joint to the body, causing a “fall away” from the 16th fret onwards. In this case it wasn’t really an issue in the end. I doubt this guitar will have another level left in it, new frets next.
