The switch on this Gretsch was causing some issues, when removed I couldn’t find anything electronically wrong with it but the wires were very tight and bent round the switch. This could have caused the switch to feel tight as there may have been pressure on some of the moving parts. I swapped the pickups round on the switch and installed it the other way and it felts much smoother.
The owner felt the tuners weren’t up to scratch so they were swapped for some Gotoh ones.
The fretboard was quite dirty and unfortunately the lemon washed off the owners painted on dots, you can see how much dirt came off the board though!
