This guitar was not playing well and at first was a bit of a puzzle as everything looked ok. When I dug a little deeper I found the neck had a lump where it joined the body. The truss rod was way too tight not giving any relief, I suspect this had been done to bring the action down?
I gave the guitar a fret level and made sure the fall away on the board after it joined the body was even and wouldn’t cause any issues. I lowered the saddle, sorted the nut and the improvement was felt straight away.
