This Tele came in with some sitar like noises on some of the strings, there was also a high pitched resonant note on the G string when palm muting. The sitar noises where a combination of uneven nut slots and some uneven frets. I levelled and re-crowned the frets and pulled a file through some of the problem nut slots.
The issues with the G was the nut slot having too much angle on the back meaning the strings was rattling between the tuning machine and the nut itself. By adding a string tree I was able to solve the problem.
The high Was also breaking at the tuner so I filed and smoothed off the edges as much as I could.
