Strat in to have a new scratch plate, middle and bridge pickup and a setup. It occurred to me that this all looked very “Gilmour” so I asked the owner is they wanted the option to have the bridge and neck pickup together, which they did.
Added a super switch to achieve this and now the position next to the bridge pickup is now bridge + neck.
The middle pickup (a Fender 69 Custom) was second hand and was reading open circuit. I thought it might need re-winding but noticed there was come scorching where the lead wires were soldered, plus Fender only wrap the start and finish a couple of times, not very good practise. Running the iron across the solder managed to get a connection so a fairly easy fix.
