This Jazz came in for a once over which initially included a new nut, fret level and to sort a dodgy volume pot. On inspection it became clear that this had possible been in a flood, as there was lots and lots of corrosion and the body was swollen in parts. The frets were way more worn than I’d thought so a re-fret was required.
Once id seen the control cavity it was obvious that I needed to replace the electrics.
The but was broken so I replaced it with a bone one.
There was a small chip on the back of the neck which I attempted to disguise in the grain, it was tricky.
Setup with D’Addario 40 – 95
