It’s a horrible feeling when you drop your guitar and finds the headstock is broken, it’s happened to me a couple of times… In this case the guitar had cone of the strap and the headstock had taken the fall along with the heel causing a crack from the nut up along the Botton of the neck and a good chunk of lacquer off on the bottom of the heel.
The hard part was getting glue into the crack but luckily it went well, my task then was to drop some polyester into the chip and watery superglue into what was left of the crack. Sometimes the glue gets sucked into the crack and makes it vanish, in this case about 60% did just that but some was left visible. The chip repair worked ok but the was a reaction which caused the colour to look a little more orange.
After a setup I’d say this was a successful repair.
