This Epiphone came in for a setup. I noticed that the last two frets were sitting proud of the fretboard on the edges and I managed to knock them back in and carry on with the setup. Once the frets were polished I realised that all of the frets were really out of shape and lumpy. I could only surmise that either it was one of the the worst fret jobs I’ve ever seen or the guitar has taken a knock by something like a huge heavy bar! Anyway, it soon became apparent that a fret level was needed to get this guitar playing well.
Set up with D’Addario 10 – 47 and sounds great for chords.
