This Les Paul copy came in to be stripped so the owner could out their own mark on it. While I was at it the tuners were off kilter so I plugged them and re-drilled the holes. I spaced them out a little more as the traditional Gibson spacing would have caused the strings to snag on the other tuners.
The fret job was awful so it was decided they should be removed and I replaced them with stainless steel.
I added a black veneer to the headstock to hide the plugs from the front, once lacquer is added this should look much “blacker”.
