The trem on this guitar had basically exploded apart when the owner tried to change the strings. At first I thought it must be a bit of user error but when I came to put the thing back together I found it really tricky to get the trem to stay in place without strings on.
I was alarmed to see some odd screws on the trem claw but realised they had just been put there for transportation by the owner… phew!
