Thus Tele cop is back in as the owner found another neck (the original had frets that weren’t;t quite in the right place!) which was another copy and came with it’s own issues… I also need to install two new Iron Gear Steel Twin II Telecaster pickups.
This pickups have an option to have a high and low output, operated through a switch so I replaced the volume with a push/pull pot.
The new neck had no holes for the tuners or the body. I was concerned that it wouldn’t fit the pocket, it was tight and I needed to sand the pocket a little. I could see when I matched it up roughly to the original neck that the frets were in a different place in relation to the bridge. There was enough travel in the intonation screws to accommodate this.
