Most guitars come out of the factory with a nut nut cut a bit higher and a higher action than most would like as the makers don’t know what or how it will be used and they need to cover their bases. In this case the action was quite high at the 12th fret. I gave the frets a polish, the finger board a wipe with some lemon oil along with the bridge (which often gets missed out). The nut was in good shape so after I’d taken a little off the bottom of the bridge and adjusted the truss rod it felt a lot better. I always air on the side of caution with acoustics so I might get this back as there is a little scope to go slightly lower if required.
