Fender Stratocaster

It feels like this Strat had been attacked with some tools, not all of which were intended to be used on guitars! The frets were in crazy shape and took some finessing to get them level and recrowned. There had been matchsticks put in the holes in the body the neck screws pass through, these should be bigger than the neck screws so that the plate clamps the neck to the body. Adding anything to these holes or if they are tight just means you’re more likely to be effectively screw the neck away from the body, or certainly not bonding it to the body.

Setup with D’Addario 10 – 46.
