This Dot had a high action but the G string was rattling. The nut was way too low and needed replacing, this time with a bone one. Check out the shape off it, the fingerboard was really “leant” over, I wonder if a bit had been sanded in error?
The truss rod is dual action and had been turned so it was putting the neck into back bow. I adjusted it so the relic was correct.
Personal gripe: tying the strings on the tuners. All this does is make it a massive pain to get them off involving poking your fingers and making them bleed!
Setup with Ernie Ball 10 – 46.
