I did what I could with this guitar. Someone had attacked the saddle and there was no reusing it so I replaced with a hand made bone one. There were a few frets that needed gluing down and I noticed the first fret had taken a nasty bash at some point and was bent. I think this had happened when the guitar was shipped to me as it was only in a soft case, wrapped in some bits of cardboard. If you’re shipping a guitar you need a proper box at the very least.
I glued the problem frets and got the action as low as I could, but the bridge is bulging and sitting high meaning there was a limit to what was possible.
Setup with D’Addario 10 – 47.
