This guitar came in to have the broken neck pickup frame and the switch (which was intermittent) replaced plus a look over to bring it back to its best. On inspection I found the frets were in pretty bad shape, not really from playing but more like it had been dragged across the floor. I gave them a fret level and then moved onto the finish which had some “residue” on the neck and body.
The truss rod nut was very stiff and I found what looked like a lot of glue blocking it up, so I removed it, cleaned it up and lubricated the thread. Works much better now. The strap button on the back of the neck heal had its screw stripped so I replaced them and tightened it up.
Setup with D’Addario 11 – 49.
