This Strat came in for a general once over. The owner got it second hand and it still had the original sticker and protective film on the scratch plate from when it was new ten or more years ago. Took some getting off but came up pretty good. The scartchplate was also buckled near the neck pickup and I found there had been a wire trapped, once removed the shape remained but I would imagine it will straighten out over time.
The trem was sitting high and on inspection I found one of the screws was bent and I replaced it. The screw was in fact installed at an angle but with the new screw the trem works fine. This along with a backplate being put on at an angle point to a guitar made on a Friday!
After getting into the setup I found that the nut was too low on the D and G string so I replaced it with a bone one.
